Diverse Machinery & Capabilities
Originally operating on Superior Street in Antigo, Wisconsin, Superior Grinding got its name from its original location and its “superior” approach to grinding. Owner Robert Stimac began his career at Waukesha Bearing in the early 1980s, advancing to the role of foreman with 35 employees on his shift. Deciding to focus exclusively on grinding, Robert opened a grinding company with a partner before opening Superior Grinding as a sole owner in 2000. What started out as a grinding service company diversified in 2012 when Robert purchased K&G Machining and its two machining centers and lathe. Over time, Superior Grinding expanded its machinery line to serve the diverse needs of clients, adding more size and capabilities.
Family-Owned & Community-Minded
Today, Superior Grinding and its sister company, KF Honing, share a 37,000 sq. ft. facility at 520 Industrial Park Road, Antigo, Wisconsin. (Look for the large American flag flying out front.) Superior Grinding will work with any material that’s machinable. The family-owned and operated company does a wide range of projects, serving a variety of industries, including defense and power generation. Superior Grinding also serves the community, giving generously to Antigo and Elcho nonprofits and community organizations in Langlade County.
